single in a married workplace
Where I work I am the only single one there. Well, let me tell you at times it can be a challenge. I get to listen to all the woman talk about their husbands. Which is usually not in a favorable light. I think wow this is an amazing opportunity to sit back and listen I mean really listen to the unhappiness. A chance to speak up and speak faith about not putting all your love and trust into one person or thing. Do I? No. Fear? Yes. Of what? Man? Yes. Odd to realize this when I know what God is capable of. I have been down that shaky misguide, rose colored glasses path before. God in his has grace delivered from that. Did I mention God is an amazing God? Well, he is you know!! It says in the bible all things are possible with God, so I am claiming this verse to help me step out in boldness of faith. First I am going to into my prayer closet for a little one on one with my heavenly father. I'll get back with you and let you know how it turns out, and if you have any suggestions feel free to share your biblical words of wisdom.

courting
During worship in church today we were singing a song that had the phrase about being the bride of christ. This to me means as a church we are in the courting stage. We are to keep ourselves pure in our intent in all things that we do. In our ministry, in our outreach to the lost, or even in our interactions with our fellow believers. We are called to be set apart from the world. I challenge you to be the bride worthy of our heavenly father, by being pure in all the things that you do. It is not an easy challenge unless you go into with prayer. Have a good week and keep the faith it is an amazing thing to have.

wishing for better
As I was driving by a quaint little area of housing. I found myself wishing for a house of my own with two cars in the driveway. A nice and caring husband who was Godly and took care of everything. Wow after I realized that I was having this nice pretty little pity party, and that I was the only guest. I said a prayer of thanks that God is in control and He is my Godly husband. That he takes care of my needs and the needs of my children. Then I also prayed that someday I would be worthy to be someones wife. He has a plan for me and my family. I just need to sit back and watch him work wonders in my life. That's why wishing for better when I already have it is unneccessary.

Unnecessary Spending

So, I just came out of fasting for three days.
God put it on my heart that fasting unnecessary spending was the best course for me.
Well, today was the first day I unnecessarily spent money.
I bought McDonald's for my six year old son at the mall. He wanted to hold his own bag- I totally support responsibility- he was going to eat it at home. When we got to the car he no longer had his cheeseburger happy meal. :(
I wanted to make it better for him by getting another one.
However: 1. My son needed that lesson in responsibility. 2. It was money I shouldn't have spent.
Jesus is so faithful to remind me to be diligent in my spending and diligent in raising my child.
