Secret Place

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

I have just spent an incredible couple of days at an encounter that my church puts on about twice a year.  I was on the prayer team praying for people as they went through the encounter.  What an amazing time it was, to be able to stand in the gap and pray for someone else so they might come to know God.  To take myself out of my own personal spotlight, and put other people needs first is so rewarding while life changing at the same time. In between prayer sessions we would have lessons on how to have the heart of an intercessors which was very powerful and eye opening.  What I also learned was I needed to get in my secret place on a daily basis if I wanted to get closer to God.  I already knew this but I received a fresh vision on what God wants for me. In addition, I made a new commitment to read his word on a daily basis.  I have been reading his word, but I was filled with a fresh desire to get into his word almost like a hunger to be spiritually feed.  I am excited for this new journey God has put me on I only want to be closer to him.
